Online lessons are suitable for anyone who has some experience of yoga — wherever you are in the world. If you would like to take an online lesson please contact the teacher, Tomoko Mori.
We offer two lessons a week – one on Tuesday evenings starting at 7:30pm, and one on Thursday mornings starting at 10:15am (both UK time: UTC+00:00) — making 8 or 9 lessons a month. You can find more details of how the lessons work below, and a list of our forthcoming online lessons is shown alongside.
No events are planned at the moment.
Each lesson will last approximately 90 minutes. We will be using Zoom video conferencing software to stream the lessons and you will need to put your laptop, tablet or phone somewhere where you can see the screen during the lesson. Your device does not need to have a camera. You will be sent a link to connect to each lesson about 30 minutes before it starts.
If you have not used Zoom before, you will be invited to download the Zoom app to your device or you can use it in a browser. You don't need to create a Zoom account. If you want help setting up your device before the lesson, please contact the teacher.
For your privacy, we will not display any video from your device but you will be able to talk to the teacher if you have a question during the lesson. Please be aware that the name you enter in Zoom will be displayed to other participants.
We are offering the first lesson at £5 (5 pounds sterling), to allow you to try the service. After that, if you want to continue the lessons, we ask you to pay £25 a month, in advance. In that month, you can access as many lessons as you like. If you join part-way through a month you will be asked to pay a proportionate amount. We also accept drop-in participation at £8 if we receive your booking at least three hours before the lesson starts.
To ensure the lesson can start on time, please use the link you are sent to connect to the lesson 5-10 minutes before the start time. If it's your first lesson, allow time to download and install the Zoom application to improve the experience.
Do not eat a heavy meal within two hours of the lesson, or a light meal within one hour.
Use a quiet, well-ventilated room and have the following items ready:
Make sure your mat is placed a good distance from any items that could harm you accidentally. If more than one person is following the lesson, make sure you are a good distance apart from each other.
As it is a remote lesson, we cannot be responsible for any accidents in your home. As always, if you have any conditions that require medical attention and still want to attend our lessons, you should only do so on your doctor’s advice. You are responsible for ensuring there are no adverse effects on your health from the exercises.
If there are technical problems that prevent us starting or completing a lesson, we will give a replacement lesson. If you have a technical issue on your side that is not affecting other students, you will need to join another lesson once the issue is resolved.
