The building of Okido Yoga Dojo in Mishima, near Mt. Fuji, was demolished around 2010 due to deterioration. As the result of subsequent researches and discussions, it was decided to donate the land to Mishima City to make it a park, and to put a memorial stone (photo) at one spot of the park. In cooperation of those who love Master Masahiro Oki and continue learning from his teachings, the project is currently underway.
On September 4, a traditional site-purifying ceremony was held (photos). On November 8 (Oki-sensei’s birthday), there will be held a ceremony and gathering to celebrate its completion.

What a wonderful way to celebrate Okido Yoga and master Oki’s life. Thank you for sharing this with us.
Thank you for your comment, Trish. I will update the news.
Hi,
It is nice to hear the parkland has this memorial stone in honour of Okisensei.
I knew his students, the late Masakosan and late Takao Nakazawasensei.
Okisensei brought Takaosan to Melbourne in 1985 to start a school in Carlton. I met Takaosan in 1990 and became his student and became a fully trained practitioner. I lived with him 18 months. I assisted him in running the Okido Yoga Centre for Discovery for that time. 1990-1993.
Masakosan was primarily in the Blue Mountains Dojo and certain centres in Sydney. She often stayed with us in Carlton and would instruct and cook.
I was told by them both how Okisensei passed. The events prior, the actual event and the events that followed. They could never tell me why.
I miss those days.
It’s only today I see that London is now the Okido dojo?
I hope it is going well.
Thank you,
L Susan Salamanca
Thank you very much for your warm comment, and for mentioning such familiar names. We (Okido Yoga UK) ourselves have never had a physical building or so-called “centre”. Instead, we have continued quietly within our own circumstances since 1984, cherishing the spirit of Okido Yoga: “creating a dojo within our own mind-heart and within our own home.” I wish you all the best ..
